यो २-३ फिट अग्लो, लामो पात, जरा लाम्चो उष्ण तथा समशीतोष्ण क्षेत्रमा राम्रो खेती हुन्छ । यो बास्नादार पात र गानो घरेलु मसलाका रूपमा प्रयोग गरिन्छ । गुण-धर्म : परपराउने, पिरो र सुगन्धित स्वाद । स्वभाव : गरम । औषधीय उपयोग : चिसो, रुघा, खोकी, कफग्रस्त समस्या, फोक्सो सुन्निएको, गला- घाँटी दुख्ने, टन्सिल बढ्ने, पिनास, कफ दम, शारीरिक दर्द, ठन्डा वायुगोला, चिसो जोर्नीवाथ, पेटमा हावा भरिने, डकार आउने आदिमा अदुवाले सन्चो गराउँछ । मात्रा : धूलो १-२ ग्राम, अर्क १०-१५ ग्राम, काँढापानी १/१ गिलास, अत्तर : ३-५ थोपा १-२ ग्रामको टुक्रा चुसिरहने दिनमा ३-५ पटक ।
