यो १०-१५ फिट अग्लो लुलो र कमलो बिरुवा कार्तिकमा सेताम्य फुल्दछ । कोशाको भित्रवियाँ भएको पाइन्छ । फलमा गर्मीतिर गेडा फुट्न थाल्छन् । प्रायः गर्मी स्थानमा १२०० मिटरसम्ममा अगस्थि भेटिन्छ । अगस्ती फूललाई उत्तम कोटिको साग बनाएर खाँदा मानिसले प्राकृतिक रसस्वादन पत्ता पाउँदछ । अत्यन्त सुपाच्य, पेटका घाउ-अल्सरमा उपयोगी, मृगौलालाई हित गर्ने, गर्मीज्वरमा लाभ पुऱ्याउने, कलेजोलाई सक्रिय गर्ने अगस्तीको फूलबाट सबैले फाइदा लिनुपर्छ । रातमा फूलमुनि बसी ध्यान गर्ने, बिहानै उठ्नासाथ स्वरलाई देखाएर हल्का पकाई भोजनमा रमाएर खानुपर्छ । ऊर्जावान् व्यक्तिले रातमा अगस्तीको फूल प्रार्थना- पाठ गर्ने उज्यालो प्राप्त गर्दछ । यो वीर्यवर्द्धक, बलवर्द्धक, वातपित्तनाशक, रक्तदोष हरण गर्ने र मुटुलाई हित पुऱ्याउने मानिन्छ । वातरक्त रोगमा फूलचूर्ण राखी दही जमाएर खानुपर्छ । अपस्मार (मृगी) रोगमा अगस्तीपात धूलो मरिचको पिठो मिसाएर बायाँ नाकमा सुँघाउनुपर्छ । यो ढैचाभन्दा (घँचा) ठूलो हुन्छ । यसको बीज तेलले मुटु रोगीलाई विशेष लाभ गराउँछ ।
