यो एक फिट अग्लो, जरा सेतो ७-१० अङ्गुल लामो, पुष्प पीतवर्ण गन्धयुक्त र स्वाद : तीक्ष्ण-कट्। उत्पत्ति स्थानः अरब । किन्तु अचेल १८०० मिटरसम्म सर्वत्र खेती गरिन्छ । यसको जरा बलवर्द्धक हुन्छ, वर्ष नष्ट हुँदैन । यसको उड्यनशील तेल तथा पाइरेथ्रिन (Pyrethrin) नामको क्षाराभ पाइन्छ । यो उत्तेजक वेदनास्थापना, शोथहर, कृमिघ्न, बल्य, बाजीकरण, शुक्र स्तम्भक हुन्छ । प्रयोज्य अङ्ग- जरा, मात्रा : १ ग्राम, २-३ पटक । यसले हृदयगति तीव्र पार्छ, रक्तसञ्चार क्रिया बढ्छ । यसको बीजलाई उमारेर बैगे गरिन्छ। यो बहुवर्षीय हो। यसको पुष्प बाहिर रातो, भित्र सेतो, बीचमा पहेँलो गोलाकार धाम गएपछि फूल खुम्चिन्छ र सूर्य उदाएपछि फुल्छ । २-३ हप्तामात्र फुलेर फल लाग्छ । ३-४ महिनामा फुल्ने ८-१० महिनाम बीज पाक्ने हुन्छ ।
