यो उष्ण, समशीतोष्ण तराई तथा पहाडी क्षेत्रमा अनती धान रोप्ने र विशेष गरी तीज पर्वमा यसको चामलको लट्टे दर खाने नेपाली चलन छ । यसको रातो चामलमा घ्यु राखी कालो हलेदो, काउलो र सिस्नु मिसाएको खोले बनाई खाने प्रचलन देखिन्छ । ज्यान दुख्ने, स्नायुतन्तु- नसा दुखाइ चोटपटक लागेमा दिनको ३ पटक पेटभरि खानुपर्छ । हाड भाँचिएको, सड्को-पड्को परेको, शक्ति ह्रास भएकोमा यसको खोले खाँदा तत्काल लाभ पुऱ्याउँछ । यो चामलको खट्टे मिठो र घ्यू चामल भात धेरै शक्ति दिने मानिन्छ। अनदी लट्टेको हाम्रो प्रचलन विछट्टै छ ।
