    परिचय

    काठेज्यामिर (Citrus aurantium) नेपाली भाषामा जम्मीर, कागती वा सुन्दरखा पनि भनिन्छ। यो एक प्रकारको अमिलो स्वाद भएको फल हो, जुन नेपालको तराई देखि पहाडसम्म पाइने गर्छ। यसको स्वाद अमिलो, तिखो गरम प्रकृतिको हुन्छ। आयुर्वेदमा यसलाई औषधीय गुणले भरपूर मानिन्छ। यसले पाचनशक्ति बढाउन, वायु-कफ दोष हटाउन हृदयका रोगमा फाइदा गर्छ।

    काठेज्यामिर नेपालको तराई, पहाड हिमाली क्षेत्रमा पाइन्छ। यो भारत, चीन, थाइल्याण्ड, इन्डोनेसिया लगायत अन्य दक्षिण एसियाली दक्षिणपूर्वी एसियाली देशहरूमा पनि उत्पादन हुन्छ। यसको खेती गरिने भए पनि जंगली रूपमा पनि यो फल फल्ने गर्दछ।

    • यसको फल सानो, गोलाकार हरियो देखि पहेँलो रंगको हुन्छ।
    • छाला बाक्लो खैरो-पहेँलो हुन्छ।
    • गुदी अमिलो, रसदार सुगन्धित हुन्छ।
    • बीउ सानो धेरै संख्यामा हुन्छ।
